TX_Teens Arrested for Burning Pitbull Dogs!
DAMN I LIVE IN TEXAS, and I so wish texas would go to an EYE for an EYE punishment when it comes to atleast children and animal cruelty!

- Dallas police have arrested a pair of teens for allegedly setting two pit bull dogs on fire and watching them run down the street.


Sr. Cpl. Kevin Janse said police got a 911 call on April 4 to come to Sunburst Dr. in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood.

Residents reportedly saw two dogs on fire running down the street, and two teens running from the scene. Some neighbors tried to help the dogs while others tried to catch the suspects, with no luck.

Officers found the two dogs so badly injured they had to be put to sleep, Janse said. (See graphic photos to the left.)

Officers arrested 17-year-old Lefferreio Sudds and 17-year-old Jucorey Davis Thursday. They were booked into the Lew Sterrett Justice Center. They face either misdemeanor or felony animal cruelty charges, Janse said.

Seven other dogs were seized from the suspects' address and are with Dallas Animal Services.



One of the burned dogs was male, and the other was a female that was either pregnant or nursing, according to Jonnie England, Director of Animal Advocacy for the Metroplex Animal Coalition.

"The two dogs were in agonizing pain," said England. "The little female dog looked worse than Mercy."

Mercy was a pit bull dog which was stabbed, doused with gas and set on fire three years ago. The dog's struggle captured the attention of North Texans, many of whom were heartbroken when she died ten days later.

Mercy's owner, DeShawn Brown, was convicted of third-degree animal cruelty and sentenced to four years in prison.
